Basic Information

​Rubber trees are native to tropical or subtropical climates with high humidity, and their scientific name is Ficus elastica Roxb. var. decora Hort. These are trees that can extract natural rubber (latex), and they are also widely used as wood because of their excellent processability.

Detailed Description

Rubber trees begin production of latex six to seven years after cultivation, and usually produce latex for 25 to 30 years, with different components of fertilizer in growing organs and nutrients required for producers to optimize high-quality latex and production. We need to provide high-quality nutrients that can achieve optimal results in a cultivation environment. The growing season should be rich in nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P), Fertilizers centered on potassium (K) can be used in the production period to produce high-quality latex.

Nitrogen(N) is a factor that promotes the growth of leaves and stems of rubber trees and helps photosynthesis, and is needed to promote the overall growth of trees.Phosphorus (P) plays an important role in the root development of trees and contributes to cell division and energy storage. Lack of phosphorus can weaken roots and lower latex productivity.
Potassium (K) is a key factor in promoting latex production and increases the water control and pest resistance of trees. In particular, it plays an important role in increasing the quality and quantity of latex. Lack of potassium reduces latex yields and makes trees vulnerable to pests and diseases.
Magnesium (Mg) is required for chlorophyll formation and photosynthesis in trees and has an indirect effect on latex production. A lack of magnesium can cause the leaves to turn yellow and lower latex production.
